Moonlight trickled down its starry path and onto the silent road. Each cobblestone glistened under the moon’s gaze. Nothing but ice cold air pierced the air with its crisp scent. The stone buildings on one side of the road rose high into the sky as if trying to catch a star. On the opposite side, a vast ocean stood still before a hooded man. This man pondered quietly over the city behind him. It was such a pity that a marvelous sight would be so poisoned under its sleek and shiny coating.
As the stars grew dimmer, the poison seemed clearer. Rats that seemed to have appeared in midair rested on the edge of the road, determining the best way to spread their sickness. A violent cough from nowhere caught the man’s attention. Though it should give him no surprise, he was disturbed by it. One moment ago, the world had seemed at peace. Slowly, that fantasy ebbed away into nothingness. The man realized this place would surrender no rest for him. He slipped silently into the dwindling shadows as the sun rose to reveal the true horror of the effects of the poison.

Song against silence
we live in the long dark,
surrounded by the silent stars,
twinkling away in mindless spark,
the black is waging endless wars,
but who could allow the silence to prevail,
and think that life is to no avail,
let the dark shout it's silence,
however terrible and endless voilence,
i say the light will stream eternal,
from our small fortress in the night,
the universe is only chaotic and infernal,
but we will sing the light,
humanity for all it's evils,
is yet better than the empty,
i would prefer the cries of perils,
and the voices of depravity.

Up in the Clouds Chapter 5
Chapter 5
"Hello?" I asked, not recognizing the number that appeared on my phone.
"Mary?" The male's voice, slightly muffled asked me. "Are you there?"
"Yeah
" I responded.
"Oh," he said. "Hey, it's Mitch."
"Oh, hey Mitch," I greeted. "Glad to see you copied my phone number down correctly." I was joking, clearly.
"Please, Mary," he countered. "I'm not that much of an idiot."
We both laughed together through the phone.
"So," Mitch began. "What's been going on with you?" It was like we were old friends, asking each other these questions. It wasn't weird or anything, it just kind of was.
"Well, I'm attempting to write my zo

Anxiety and me
Eddies of anxiety
It comes and it goes
But worst of all it grows.
Building and ebbing
Like a drunk spider's webbing
Anxiety is a part of me.
There is no drought for this
Never a moment not marred
Happy moments tarred.
Playing games is not the same
No longer hooked on books
All frustrates me.
I always have things I should do
Moments to myself are few
I am withdrawing.
Reasons are not always there
Even when I have people who care
I feel so alone.
I feel like I need some hope
But that dream's just a joke
I wanna run away.
Responsibility weighs too heavy on me
Heavy demands won't let me be
I can't rise above this crushing weight.
